A couple of month’s ago, my family was planning to move to Trujillo for a year to work with the Trujillo Christian School. We’ve had to change those plans for a couple of reasons. One is that we are currently doing foster care. We’ve had a little girl since she was 3 days old, and she is now 16 months old. She was supposed to be leaving our home, but that didn’t work out, at least not for now. I guess God wants us here for her right now, rather than in Trujillo.
In the past, I had written about those plans on this blog. I did a silly thing in one of those posts and mentioned that I’d be leaving my current employer, SavaSeniorCare. Apparently, the company does regular sweeps of cyberspace to make sure no disgruntled employees are disparaging the company online or divulging trade secrets. So somebody in our IT department stumbled across my little web site. Fortunately, they didn't tell my boss or VP and instead passed along a discreet message to me that I should be more careful about what I post online. I felt a little sheepish (OK I felt like a moron), but I did appreciate the heads-up. Of course, I immediately deleted those portions of my blog.
Since that time, I’ve decided that I’ll be leaving Sava even though we aren’t moving to Trujillo. I’m going to start my own business developing training programs for various companies. If it goes well, the plan is that we will be able to spend some extended time in Trujillo in the summers. Maybe 6 weeks or so at a time. That won’t happen this year but maybe next. Of course, I’m a little anxious about being responsible for my own paycheck, but mostly I’m really excited about it.
The good news is - I can now mention my employer’s name without fear, since I’ve given my official notice. So here it goes. SavaSeniorCare. SavaSeniorCare. SavaSeniorCare. SavaSeniorCare. SavaSeniorCare. SavaSeniorCare. SavaSeniorCare. SavaSeniorCare. SavaSeniorCare. SavaSeniorCare. SavaSeniorCare. SavaSeniorCare. SavaSeniorCare. SavaSeniorCare. SavaSeniorCare. If any of you IT guys or gals stumble upon this - Hi, welcome to my blog and please tell everyone in Houston I said hello. And if you came here trying to learn about Sava, it's a good place to work and I'd trust them to take good care of my mother.
